Naughty Dog's next game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, is "a different side" of The Last of Us and Uncharted studio Naughty Dog.

That's according to lead actress Tati Gabrielle, who plays bounty hunter Jordan A Mun in the upcoming game.

Speaking with IGN at a recent press event for the Mortal Kombat 2 film, in which Gabrielle stars as assassin Jade, the actress said she was "super stoked" about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. "I am excited to play myself," Gabrielle said. "I think that it's such a different side of Naughty Dog that I think people are going to get really excited for."

Gabrielle added she believes Naughty Dog has "even challenged [itself] in ways of world building" on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, though she did not elaborate on this point any further.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was first announced at the end of 2024, with a trailer featuring a retro futuristic energy that introduced Jordan A Mun. While we still don't know a huge amount about Naughty Dog's upcoming release beyond it being one expensive endeavour, game director Neil Druckmann revealed last March that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophecy explores the topics of "faith and religion".

Last May, Gabrielle revealed she had been given mental "bootcamp-ing" by Druckmann ahead of her turn as Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet's bounty hunter, after actors in the studio's previous game The Last of Us Part 2 were met with online abuse. "[Druckmann] was like, 'Ignore it. No matter what, me and you, we're going to make something beautiful. We're going to make something that we're proud of'," Gabrielle said last year.
